YourCause CSRconnect

YourCause CSRconnect helps you manage constituent personal data while complying with laws and respecting individuals' privacy preferences. We’ve summarized features and added instructions to use them below. See the YourCause CSRconnect help documentation for more details.

Users can add their own privacy policies or other privacy resources. See Customize your privacy policy for product information.

Since users are added to the system using HR file upload/single sign-on, there is no option to provide a notice at the time of collection.

CSRconnect automatically recognizes and records universal opt-out signals like the Global Privacy Control (GPC). Currently, once an enabled GPC is recorded, it cannot be changed.

Detect universal opt-out signals automatically

Universal opt-out signals are sent from individual browser accounts when an add-on or plugin, like the GPC, is enabled. The signal is included in header data with every HTTP call made from that browser account. The signal is either enabled or not enabled; there is no specification or configuration beyond that. Once an enabled signal is received from a constituent, that preference is irrevocably set in the constituent profile.

YourCause CSRconnect does not present targeted ads and does not sell personal data or profile constituents. Therefore, it does not enable recording and respecting individual opt-out signals.

Access and edit personal data

Users can access their personal data by logging in and selecting My Account in YourCause CSRconnect. Users can edit their personal data by editing the appropriate information in My Account.

Self-service access to personal data

Users can request an export of their personal data. See Personal data for product information.

Edit or delete personal data in batches or with data syncs

YourCause CSRconnect provides a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) for clients to submit their HR files. Clients can remove profiles from their HR files to inactivate accounts.

Clients can upload updated HR files weekly to SFTP, which YourCause CSRconnect then loads and uses to update users’ data, including their corrected personal data or inactivated accounts.

If your organization has internal Data Retention policies requiring the de-identification and deletion of personal data for the duration of your contract, contact your Customer Success Manager or CSRconnect Support team.
